this is the original zenith a386 el primero from the late 1960´s. the very first automatic chronograph in the history of horology and at the same time a worldfamous design icon. the late mk3 version of the a386 (230xxxx) is in all original and outstanding good condition. coming with an unmolested dial with super beautiful vanilla-tone tritium patina and a colormatching handset. the dial is absolutely flawless in all parts, only the right subdial shows a typical effect of the disappearing blue laquer, which we have allready seen in other examples before, and which brings a charming individual note to this example. the sharp mk3 steelcase with natostar on the caseback has never been polished before, carrying the original pushers and big crown with „small ring“. the legendary zenith 3019 phc runs perfectly in all functions. this a386 comes on the original zenith/gay freres „ladder bracelet“ with ultrarare zj endlinks, both in absolute perfect condition with zero stretch.
