Vacheron Constantin 222 Jumbo 44018
not in stock

this is a very rare vacheron constantin 222 jumbo from the late 1970s. not more than 100 pieces of the reference 44018 with 37mm case have ever been produced in solid gold and you would have to search for a long time to find one with that stunning darkgrey dial. the vc 222, designed by Jörg Hysek, was released in 1977 and is being named in one line with it´s more famous competitors pp nautilus, ap royal oak and iwc ingenieur. as it is much rarer than these three, it appears to be a very sought after model by todays collectors of luxury sportswatches from that timeperiod. our example in 18k yellowgold comes with a very fat and beautifully polished case with clearly readable serialnumber on the caseback. the original dial is in stunning untouched condition and so is the handset. the vacheron/gay freres bracelet (one additional link comes with) has just zero stretch we would have to mention. the original Maltese cross signed crown has some small missing goldparts like you could see on one of the images. it could easily be replaced with a service one, but we will always stick to the original parts when it´s about our watches. the ultra slim vc calibre 1121 was checked through and is running exactly, not being in the need for a service soon.
