this is a rare Universal Geneve dresswatch in steel, featuring a beautiful two color dial with spider-effect. The spider effect describe the condition of dials on which the first and uppermost layer of varnish has small, fine hairline cracks. The two tones of the dial change by moving the watch from the displayed effect to deep black in total. The 25mm (plus crown) steelcase of the watch has never been polished before and shows both numbers being engraved in the caseback (reference 842679 from the 1960s). the handwound UG caliber 1-42 is in well working order, keeping time perfectly and not being in the need for a service currently. The wristshot is made on a ladie´s wrist. The hand with glove is a man´s. The overall condition of the watch is used but all original and very charming on the wrist. The UG comes on a vintage lizzard leatherband (fitting wrists up to 17cm) or a new one upon request.
