Universal Geneve Compax Oversize 1940
not in stock

this is an ultrarare Universal geneve compax from 1940 in an „oversized“ 37mm yellowgold case. this 82 year old and all original chronograph features an absolute overwhelmingly beautiful dial with two different grey tones, that switches it´s shades when you move it in direct sunlight (scratches are only on the plexi). it´s dial, handset, pushers, crown and plexi are full original to this reference 12510, which has been produced with at least three different dial variations. this one with roman 12 and two grey/white dialtones is by far the rarest and nicest. not only the dial on this watch is special but also the stunning Henri Jeanneret 18k yellowgold case (Hammer 166) with it´s sharp edges. All hallmarks can be found where they belong to. the caseback is in nice condition with two little dings that only appear cosmetically. the UG caliber 287 is working propperly in all functions and is not in the need for a service. The watch will be delivered on a vintage leatherband with original gold plated UG buckle and in addition a supercool modern yellow/ocher leatherband. this vintage UG compax is one of the nicest chronographs we have ever had of this brand. an absolute pleasure on the wrist and a very rare appearance to the market.
