this is an all authentic Universal Geneve Polerouter Date (ref. 204612/1) from end 1964, coming on an original UG Gay Freres bracelet (68) and generic 19mm endlink connections, which would also fit to compax (nina rindt) or tricompax models. The Polerouter with twisted lugs is an original early design by genius Gerald Genta. it´s watchhead definitely appears with signs of wearing from over the years, but on the other hand has never been polished and also has well protected the still flawless crosshair-dial and handset for over 58 years now. reference- and serialnumber (232xxxx) are clearly readable on the caseback. all parts about it, like U-signed big crown, plexi and datewheel are still the original ones. the UG 218-2 microtor movement has recently been serviced by the former owner. the 35mm steelwatch on the original ug bracelet will fit big wrists up to 18,5cm circumference and many levels smaller.
