this is an extremely rare fullset of the Universal Geneve Polerouter 18k in gold, sold in 1967 in Barcelona. the unpolished 18k gold case has faded from rose to a more yellow golden tone over the past 55 years and now holds the color with a beautiful tone inbetween those two. It shows all numbers (ref 269101/01, serial 251xxxx) and hallmarks that should be there. The original dial and handset are in absolute flawless condition. the crown is unsigned and might be a service part, although it has the perfectly matching look and size of well known UG crowns from that timeperiod, so it could as well be an original but unsigned piece. the sought after original plexi is engraved with the U in it´s middle. this 34mm, and as most might know, also gerald genta designed, polerouter is powered by the UG microtor caliber 69 which is running exactly like it should. the watch comes on a new brown leatherband with original golden UG buckle, it´s box and original papers from the sale in 1967 in Barcelona. An absolute dream Polerouter for any collection.
