This is a Rolex GMT Master ll, Reference 16710 with ‘Coke insert’, from the first year of its production, 1989 (serial L 500xxxx). The watch comes with its original certificate, sold in Geneva 1990, the pouch and the booklet. A matching non-Rolex box will also be part of the set. What makes this 37-year-old GMT special is that it has never been polished. It does show various signs of wear, but the cut on the lugs is razor sharp. The Rolex 3185 automatic movement runs strongly and accurately and does not require servicing in the near future. The 78360 Oyster bracelet with 12 links and clasp code N6 shows clear signs of wear, but is also still the original one from 1989 and in tight and sharp condition. The dial and hands are immaculate and feature the original tritium. An all black bezel insert can be delivered with upon request.
