This a beautiful Rolex 1655 Explorer 2 from 1974, the so called „Orange hand“ or „Freccione“. The toolwatch reference, that legendary climber reinhold messner was wearing during many of his extremely tough expeditions onto the highest summits of this planet. The Rolex 1655 has always been our alltime favorite Rolex regarding it´s uncommon and spectacular design. It has become more and more a challenge over the past years to still find an example in great condition and with such a beautiful dial like this one has.

The Explorer 2 comes with all it´s original parts it was once delivered with, amongst them a flawless „frog foot crown“ dial with beautifully light-creme- toned tritium which is matching the color of the tritium i the original handset. the case is still very fat with clearly readable serial- (37xxxxx) and referencenumber. the folded 7836 oyster-bracelet with 380 endlinks is in beautiful an tight condition and features a periodcorrect claspcode A, which dates it to 1975/76. the rolex 1570 automatic caliber was checked through and regulated by our watchmaker and runs perfectly as it should. the watch was even tested waterresistant up to 2 bar  //  25.700€ Please contact us over this link
