this is a very rare Longines ref. 7981-1 Mk1, also known as „Big eye“ or „Skin diver“. The 40mm chronograph is powered by the famous 30CH flyback movement and comes in all over unmolested, original condition with original „Made in UsA“ box and an emailcopy of longines extract of the archives. It was delivered in 1968 to the USA (Wittnauer) according to the extract of the archive. The condition is one of the best we have ever seen for one of those pieces. The fat case shows all necessary engravings on inside and outside of the caseback. The dial, with clean subdials is, as well as the handset, carrying it´s original lume without any missing parts. The Longines movement is keeping time exactly and is not in the need for a service soon. It´s bezel is in flawless condition, and even the lume triangle is still there in full appearance.
