Gerald Genta, the grandmaster of watchdesign did not only sketch the pp nautilus, the ap royal oak, or the iwc ingenieur. he also designed the three references of the IWC „club series“ in the mid 1970s. Only a very few examples, especially with black dials have survived and rarely appear on the open market today. We are very happy to be able to offer you all three watches of the „club series“ and in addition the famous ingenieur sl. Please enjoy the images below and contact us under the links if you want to see videos of the watches or have any further questions.
The IWC Polo-Club sl (ref. 1831). Less than 200 pieces of the Polo Club with black dial have been produced back then in 1975 and 1976, the only years of production. Our example comes with a superrare „Türler“ doublesigned black glossy dial, that is carrying the original tritium lume with a beautiful patina. the dial itself has a few little blemishes if you turn it into certain angles. From others it looks perfect. It´s 38mm steelcase with stunning integrated bracelet in typical Genta design is unpolished and will fit wrists up to a circumference of 18cm. the automatic caliber 8541 is running strong and exact, not being in the need for a service soon.
