One of exactly 210 ever produced pieces, and you couldn´t purchase it without purchasing a car. This is the ultrarare iwc mark xll saab „mellow yellow“, reference 3242, that was only delivered out together with the saab 900 „mellow yellow“ cabriolet  in 1997.

The yellow limited edition of the Swedish Cabrio by Saab was customized in Switzerland at the Rinspeed AG. The very few examples that went for sale to Germany all ran over the Frankfurt headquarter of Saab. All IWC´s that came with the Saab „Mellow Yellow“, were delivered by the Frankfurt nearby jeweller „Kuhn“. The service cards have even been filled out by the same employee of this jeweller. All in 1997. Most of these sets are collected or lost today.

compared to the standart mark xll steel-version with same 36mm case-size, the saab version comes in titanium and with a differently designed greyish dial with saab printing and no triangle at 12. the watch is powered by an iwc refined (eta 2892a2 base), automatic movement, which has just been freshly serviced by our watchmaker and will run perfectly for many many years.

the iwc is in unpolished allover original condition, featuring the original yellow saab box plus outer box. the guarantee card with matching number, all service papers, and the iwc buckle. the yellow leatherstrap is the one as they came with this watch, but is not IWC labeled. We figure with an early unsigned version. according to the first owner, who still owns the car, it was always with the watch. He also stated us that his car and watch set was one of the very first ever been delivered out from the Frankfurt Saab headquarter.
