this is the iconic, first series IWC ingenieur automatic, the jumbo reference 1832. the Ingenieur is widely known as one of the three historical most important designs of gerald genta, besides the PP Nautilus and the AP Royal Oak. it is surely the most rare of those three, with only 543 examples having ever been produced in steel and steel/gold from 1976 to 1984. most of the survivers are in collectors hand today and if an example ever appears on the open market, it´s mostly equipped with servicedial or hands. this early example from 1976, as mentioned the first year of production, is in allover original condition with a flawless tritium square pattern dial (T Swiss T) and a tritium handset which is matching the color. it comes with some very cool paperwork, amongst it a copy of an extract of the archives from 1982, orderd by the original owner. the iwc automatic caliber 8541B has received a full service in mid 2021 and is working absolutely perfect. it´s 40mm case and the bracelet are in beautiful sharp and sratchfree condition and will fit wrists up to any size (additional links can be ordered seperately). a stunning and important genta jumbo that let´s any collectors heart beat higher.
