With only about 50 piece ever produced in steel/gold, this iwc ingenieur sl 1832 automatic from 1983 is a very rare collectorswatch today. The extract of the iwc archives, which is coming with, shows the original owner, who was J. King, the head of IWC´s technical department at that time. the 40mm jumbo ingenieur is also famous for being one of „gerald genta´s big three“, amongst the famous brothers patek philippe nautilus 3700 and the ap royal oak 5402. the case of our piece seems to be unpolished. all parts, like the „fish-logo“ signed crown, the bezel with five asymmetric drills or the black date wheel are the original ones. the beautiful and flawless waffle pattern dial is unmolested and carrying the original tritium lume. also the handset is filled with colormatching tritium. the iwc caliber 8541 is running exactly and strong and is not in the need for a service soon. This is a very rare chance to achieve an Ingenieur 1832 steel/gold/ black dial in great and all original condition.
