This is a rare and early audemars piguet daydate 25572ST from the 1980s with a beautiful cremewhite dial. in the meanwhile about 95% of the vintage royal oaks we see on instagram and anywhere else have received a polishing job at some point in the past. sometimes it was made well, mostly not. in any case they don´t have the full original „genta-shape“ anymore. we are proud to say that this 36mm piece, which also carries the nickname „owl“, is absolutely unpolished. gerald genta´s royal oak was meant to be the most important hommage to steel watches ever, so it is important for collectors to find all the original chamfers and edges that define his iconic design. this fact is definitely given about our piece. it shows signs of wearing from the last decades, but appears in full original shape and also still has a very tight bracelet. the beautiful „small tapisserie“ dial with day and date subdials, and the sought after old audemars piguet font, is in 100 % perfect condition and has developed an overwhelmingly beautiful lightcreme color over the years. the bracelet, coming with three installed extension links, is long enough to fit wrists up to a size of 18mm circumference. the ap automatic caliber 2124 is running exactly with all functions working propperly.
