this is an absolute stunning royal oak 14790st fullset from 1994. the watch has the extremely sought after early grey/blueish dial with old aligned „audemars piguet“ font. only the very first d-series of the midsize royal oaks´s are having this dial. the 36mm case (+crown) wears even bigger than you would expect, regarding it´s 46,3mm high monocase construction. it has the same relations of bezel to case than the legendary 5402, unlike the 14700 which has also a 36mm case but a thinner bezel. this 14790 is unpolished and it´s original dial and handset are absolutely flawless with an overwhelming beautiful cremewhite tritium-color. the bracelet is in very good condition with no stretch appearing. the ap 2125 automatic caliber has recently been fully serviced and will keep on running exactly for many years. this rare steel royal oak comes with it´s original certificate, box, outer box, instruction booklet and even the original invoice from 1994, bought at wempe in frankfurt.
