Universal Geneve Space Compax 1967
available

This is a rare Universal Geneve Space-Compax Mk1 from 1967 in fully original and absolutely beautiful condition.

The Space Compax has a special status in the selected cosmos of Universal Geneve chronographs from the mid 1960s, as it was never worn publicly by Eric Clapton, Nina Rindt, or any other famous personality, unlike the Tricompax or the Compax. This is also reflected in the price, which is significantly more moderate than that of its somewhat more famous counterparts with „grail-status“. Yet the Space Compax is in no way inferior to the Compax or Tricompax models. It is even slightly rarer, but still powered by the famous Valjoux 72. The design, which was highly progressive for its time with its asymmetrical case and large 12 on the dial, still looks extravagant and unique today. And it is.

Our Spacecompax comes with all original parts, such as the U-signed plexiglass, the fully intact rubber pushers, the large screw-down crown and a bezel with superfat font. The lume on the clean dial and in the hands is the original tritium. The Valjoux 72 has recently been serviced and is running perfectly in all functions. The watch comes on its highly sought after UG/Gay Freres bracelet with correct endlinks. A true iconic Universal Geneve which is maybe still a bit under the radar of most collectors, if you consider what it has to offer.
