The rolex 1655 explorer 2, aka „the orange hand“, aka „il freccione“, is one of the real toolwatches made by the world´s most famous watchbrand. for example legendary climber reinhold messner was counting on it during many of his extremely tough expeditions. the famous images below are documenting it. Our example is coming with all the original parts like it once has left the factory. case and mk3 bezel (73xxxxx/1982) have surely some signs of wearing but are still in very fat and partly unpolished condition. The mK5 stern-dial with original tritium is absolutely flawless. the tritium in the handset is matching in color. the 24h hand has a little crack in the lume, but is very stable and allready in this condition for many years according to the former owner. the movement was freshly serviced in 2019 and the watch was recently even tested waterresistant by us. This is a 1655 for someone who wants both, an all over original piece for the collection and a vintage watch as daily wearer. apart from that the freccione was and will always be the most stylish rolex of all. at any time this refernce was always our absolute favorite of the whole  rolex watch portfolio.
