This is the very rare and exclusive Audemars Piguet ‘Pyjamas’ or ‘Zebra’ Jumbo version, reference 4274, which is immediately recognisable by its nine gold lines, instead of the seven found on the smaller version. It´s one of only 300, in the early 1980s produced, pieces. The reference is also exhibited in the Audemars Piguet museum (see this nice video from the AP instagram channel).
The 25 x 32,5 mm steel & 18k gold case with integrated bracelet (serial number B6xxxx) has never been polished before. The AP from 1982 will currently fit wrists up to a circumference of 18 cm. Links can easily be taken out for smaller wrists. One more link will be added, so it could even fit wrists up to a size of 18,5 cm. The handwinding AP caliber 2003 was checked through and runs exactly, not being in the need for a service in the near future. The watch is in full original condition and very well preserved, with only minor signs of wear. It comes with a freshly made extract from the AP archives and an AP leather travel box.
